City needed a slow start before Cherki and Haaland braces buried Palace. Chelsea keep winning and keep leaking goals, even with Emi back. Brighton hung around but were they ever really in it?
Spurs looked fine in the first half, then fell apart. Newcastle’s Nico settled in immediately, Elanga’s in form, Wissa’s scoring. Villa look improved even without Emi and Ollie, and Arsenal’s win sets up a clash with Chelsea’s attack next.
Elsewhere: Liverpool came from behind twice in two weeks. Hull’s loss to Coventry might be a preview of their season. Everton and Bournemouth traded goalkeeping heroics before Tarkowski’s late equalizer. Sunderland edged Fulham on a Leno mistake. United flipped their game against Ipswich at the break.
